How to promote your FiveM server and get your first players

Why don't players come on their own?

A new server on the FiveM list is one of thousands of entries. Without active promotion it's hard to stand out. The good news: most server owners don't promote their projects at all. You have an open field.

1. CFX Server List

Make sure your server has:

• ▸A completed description in server.cfg (tags, project name)
• ▸High performance: servers with low ping and stable uptime rank higher

2. TikTok and YouTube

Short "behind the scenes" videos get surprisingly large reach. Show:

• ▸A product purchase in the FivePay shop and automatic in-game delivery
• ▸Interesting RP events from a player's perspective
• ▸"Dev vlog": how you're building the server

3. Discord

Build an active Discord server with channels:

• ▸#announcements: news and updates
• ▸#recruitment: faction recruitment
• ▸#shop-support: purchase support

An active Discord community is the best organic advertising.

4. Facebook Groups and Forums

Groups dedicated to FiveM servers have tens of thousands of members. Regular update posts attract attention.

5. In-game Events

Organise events with prizes (e.g. free VIP for the winner). Players gladly invite friends to events. It's the cheapest form of viral marketing.

6. Automated Shop as a Selling Point

Players value convenience. The ability to buy a product through a website and receive it automatically in-game (without waiting for an admin) is now a standard that translates directly into conversions.
